The productions were officially launched at the Asian Television Forum in Singapore on 30 November 2005. These television productions are now available online.
The Pan-Asia ICT R&D Grants Programme for Asia-Pacific is directed at encouraging original and innovative information and communications technology solutions to development problems. This publication reviews and analyzes 56 projects from 14 different countries funded by the Programme between 2002-2005. Asia-Pacific television producers join hands to co-produce “HIV/AIDS Reports” highlighting grass-roots response to the global health epidemic.
Participating broadcasters from the Asia-Pacific region will be creating a series of “HIV/AIDS Reports” for television programming. This workshop provided an opportunity for broadcasters to come together to learn from previous HIV/AIDS-related productions and share ideas in preparation for the development of HIV/AIDS Reports in broadcasters' respective countries.
